Too smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Cam the novice from SW Virginia on Friday, February 13, 2015I wear a size 13 and based of the reviews about sizing, I ordered a 13.5. After 10 minutes I could pry my foot into it, but lost some skin on my toes. Will be returning.
majestic bargain of a dealVerified Buyer Reviewed by ClimbinIA from Iowa on Tuesday, November 18, 2014Mad rock is an interesting company. I had never tried their shoes before and got these (a half size up from street) because of the price. With some of the discounts derailed offers you can get these to your door for 35$, shibby! Even if you need a pair of backups thats totally worth it in my mind. To explain the shoe the toe rubber is different from the heel cup. It matters a lot when bouldering for sure, not really the easiest thing to get used to (the heel rubber is much harder and less tacky). The shoe stretched almost a whole size because of the rubber toe, the fit is really quite nice though when stretched. Buy street sized like mad rock recommends if you want a tighter fit. Half size up works but could be tighter in some edging scenarios. Overall, the rubber could be better on the toe and heel. The price keeps me from complaining.
shoes for the gymVerified Buyer Reviewed by BFP from So Cal on Thursday, November 6, 2014I needed a new pair of shoes, the traction on my old ones was shot. Once I put these on, I could finish some of the harder bouldering routes on our campus's rock wall. Very pleased.
new trick for old dogReviewed by Haireball from Leavenworth, WA on Sunday, November 2, 2014I've been climbing for 45 years, and have made numerous attempts with modern performance shoes, but have always been shut down by the pain, but the Derailed.com price made it worth a try -- and I'm glad I did. For my size 11 foot I bought 11.5 - tight enough to be uncomfortable, but not really painful. They stretch to fit like a rubber sock, and the increased sensitivity over my old beloved Aces allows me to feel features and use my feet in ways I would not have imagined. At age 62, I'm once again able to lead 5.11. Now I just hope they last!!!
My 6th pairVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mighty Mo from oregon on Monday, October 13, 2014This is my 6th pair of shoes I bought from Sierra Trading Post..It's just an awesome shoe for an awesome price
AWESOME SHOEVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mighty Mo from oregon on Sunday, October 12, 2014I love how it hugs my foot and how sticky the soles are. Love the pin-point accuracy that I can do on walls and bouldering. I love this shoe so much that I bought 6 more pairs for my whole family!
