Love this but it runs small
Reviewed by Jojo from Oregon on Friday, February 9, 2018
Just know that on someone who is 5'4 and 112 lbs, the Small in this fits as snug as shown, hugging the butt like the rear photo. If you want it to fit looser, size up....I liked the Medium better. Collar looks great turned up as well.

  • So itchy!

I read some other reviews that said this jacket runs big, so I sized up. It was way too big! But that really didn't even matter because the material was SO itchy, I couldn't even tolerate it. So even if it did fit, it was going back.
  • Love this! Warm, flattering, nice quality

This is the cutest coat! I sized up and was glad I did...I'm 5'9 and a size 6 or 8 and got the large. It's roomy if you wear any layers underneath, you'll be glad. The sleeves can be rolled up, if a little too big. Its a brushed fleece on the inside which makes it cozy, yet has the warmth of wool too. This is the perfect in-between season sweater coat.
  • Warm and beautiful

I usually wear a size 12-14. I got this in a large and it fits well. It is tight across my backside but most things are. It is so warm. It's long enough I can wear it with leggings like a dress. I love the buttons and the ribbon on the placket. I can wear the collar buttoned up or turned down.
  • Irregular sizing

Great winter top layer but can run small. The oatmeal color in S was roomier than the same size in light grey.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
