It's hard for me to fairly rate these gloves, because they ran pretty large. I am probably a "small" in gloves, and the S/M are just too large. The fingers are long *and* wide, which makes it hard for me to pick things up in them. Further, the fleece is very thick, so there is just that much more fabric/volume on my fingers. However, these are warm! The fleece is very soft, and I think the windproof black part works. I can use them just to ride my bike around during the cold SF summers, but I would not be able to do much else in them. If you are have medium-sized hands, give these a try in S/M.

I like these. I broke my hand about three years ago and it hurts when it gets cold or if I'm driving and the steering wheel is cold. These provide warmth, are very comfortable and have a suede grip so I don't have to worry about my hand slipping off the wheel.

Got them for my wife, being that we are moving from to the Midwest soon. They appear well sewn, although I do not believe they will be useful for extensive time spent outdoors. We'll see!

I had hoped that they'd permit outdoor activities in winter: Not warm enough.

It isn't cold out yet, so I can't predict how warm these will be, but they are supposed to be windproof, so I'm hopeful. For the price they will be fine for errands, etc. even if not warm enough for hiking.
