Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by ruister from Western Massachusetts on Tuesday, February 25, 2014It's been cold and this jacket looks great a keeps me warm. I ordered a large and it fit just right. Some reviewers have complained about the collar, but it's a double edge kind of thing. The collar is high a relatively stiff which can get in the way, but it also helps shield the cold wind. The wool exterior has a great old-school feel. I was worried that the zipper would detract form the look, but in my opinion it does not and it is way more convenient than the traditional "buttons".
Reviewed by Kaunkid from The Frozen Wastes of Minnesota on Monday, January 27, 2014I'd been considering buying a duffle coat for quite awhile and when I checked the deals on Sierra Trading post, I saw this one and the amazing price and decided to do it. I was not disappointed. I've owned two other Andrew Marc coats in the past and I've always felt that they were of exceptional quality for the price. I wore the coat this past weekend for the first time. With the air temperature hovering around 5° Fahrenheit and accompanied by a stiff breeze, I was warm & comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the two "handwarmer" pockets that hit me right around the bottom of my ribcage make me look like I have a gut. They're not really practical or necessary and they don't do anything good for the lines of the coat, but they're not bad enough for me to consider returning the coat either, just enough to keep me from giving it a five-star rating. Overall, a great coat for which I paid a great price. Recommended (with only minor reservations).
Verified Buyer Reviewed by the running man from Marion, IA on Tuesday, January 3, 2012The wrap around collar/chest piece is so tall in the back that it hits me in the back of the head, way too big. The rest of the coat is great. If there was a decent way to remove the offending collar, I would have done that and kept the coat. As it is, I can't wear it, so back it went.
- Cons: Stand up collor is huge
- Pros: Good Fit
