This is a great jacket for spring and fall here in Colorado, good light weight. Not a coat for very cold days. Good layering piece under a shell or for those chilly fall days and nights. It is fitted at the waist which is flattering, but slightly less wearable with sweaters.

This is a very light down jacket. I got it to use on cool mornings around my barn. The pros - it is machine washable, hay won't stick to it (the inside lining is smooth, too), and it zips up at the neck if you need it. It will be good for fall and spring and cool summer nights. The cons - it is a bit tight at the bottom when you start the zipper (and no, I am not overweight!), and the sleeves are pretty long for me. But it works and I like it. Plus the color is my favorite.

Long enough sleeves!! My 5' 10" frame hardly ever gets long enough sleeves but this jacket does. Super comfy, easy on/off. nice flannely lined pockets. Couldn't beat the price -- was about $60 when I bought.

Fits my long arms and torso well. I am 5'9" and about a size 12 and ordered the XL.

I really liked this jacket and due to the sale it was by far the cheapest down jacket I could find. It compacts easily and is comfortable. My only complaint is that the shoulders are a little puffy but hey, it's down.

Can't say for sure about the warmth of this jacket since I just received it, but I can rave about the length of the sleeves. I have long arms and I feel well covered in this baby. I also have broad shoulders and a bust, so I ordered the xl and it zips up just fine. Ordered the black with the pink trim, which adds a little joie de vivre to the black. So far the jacket feels snug and easy to wear.

    • I gave it as a gift to my mother-in-law. She was very pleased with the appearance and the warmth of the jacket. From what I recall though, it would be very packable. It is not designed to be stored in its own pocket though nor does it come with its own stuff sack.

  • “Would you say the fit is large, or on the small side? I am torn between L and encouraged by the reviews stating "long sleeves", but not sure about the overall fit...”
Asked by hockey mom from MN on 2/21/2014 4:08:15 PM
    • I'd really say it is true to size. My daughter wears a women's small and the small fits her perfectly. It is roomy enough to put a layer underneath but still has a flattering cut.

    • It seems to be an exact fit. My wife is a medium and she is able to wear a sweater beneath the coat without any problem. The sleeve length is perfect for the size. I hope this helps.
