Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by steve21 from colorado on Sunday, November 13, 2016I've skied in it a couple of times this season. its warm and looks good. one small negative is that the hood without fitted collar design seems a little drafty with the hood down. , but the hood is good up. the large size fits little long. great value.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by T from Utah on Tuesday, February 16, 2016I've taken this coat out a few times now and it has been great. Very comfortable, not baggy on my rather lanky frame, while not feeling restrictive at all. It's kept me very warm on cold, snowy lift rides. The hood fits nicely over my helmet when I'm cold waiting in line or sitting on a lift. When the sun has come out and warmed me up, I've skied with the pit zips open to keep me cool and don't feel different, forgetting they're open. The sleeve pocket for lift tickets is a nice touch.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Liberty Is the Answer from Brosangeles, Montana on Wednesday, February 10, 2016If I didn't love this coat so much I'd probably only give it a 4 star since it runs so big in size ( i.e. I've always been a Large but had to return this one for a Medium so that wasn't the best experience but at least STP made the return easy and relatively inexpensive on me I guess)....but I still five it 5 stars. For me, a regular Montana ski area skier, this coat is perfect - slightly insulated so I can wear the necessary layers underneath or without on our "warmer" days, zip pits (I could never not have them) , lots of pockets inside and out, good style (plus I haven't see anyone else wearing it at my ski hill which is a plus), a hood that allows my extra large helmet, an internal powder skirt option and a waist cinch to keep the heat in.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sammy from Colorado on Wednesday, February 10, 2016this jacket is perfect for boarding or skiing. It's moderately warm and has plenty of pockets. It's also machine washable which is huge.

“It does not look like this jacket has any pockets on outside to put hands in ? or are they there and you can't see them in the picture...”
The pockets on the front are perfect to put your hands in. This jacket has a ton of pockets.
There are zipper pockets high on the front, you can see them in the image, but there are not lower pockets designed just to slip your hands into. You can use the higher pockets to keep your hands warm, but they are not all that comfortable since your arms will be bent upwards at the elbow.

“Can anybody share the water proofing and breathability ratings for this jacket ? This does not seem to be using gore-tex stuff.”
It's a 10,000 rating for both (I found it on another website). This jacket kept me very dry in heavy snow conditions lately.
