Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kid Wrangler from Mt Hotham, Australia on Monday, July 16, 2012Just back from a 5 day ski trip with my 5 year old boy wearing this jacket. Jacket kept him warm and dry in windy, wet, sleeting conditions. Even with long slow chairlift rides in high winds it did a great job of keeping water out. Good closure with a ski helmet, or by itself with removable hood.
Only issue is the inner jacket / liner moves around a bit too easily in the outer shell when putting the jacket on or removing it. You also need to zip up the inner and outer jackets seperately, a design that zips the inner jacket into the outer would be better. My boy managed to tie it in knots a couple of times... but he also forgets to take his gloves and helmet off first, so not all the jackets fault.
Even with a bit of care being required while dressing, this is a great versitile jacket that kept him warm and dry in some pretty soggy and windy conditions.

Reviewed by Looney Mama from Massachusetts on Tuesday, December 6, 2011This is a very sharp, high quality jacket. I bought a size 14 for my son who is tall and thin for 11 and it fits nicely, with room to grow. The liner is nice enough to wear on it's own and the outer shell has a subtle checker design. He's looking forward to wearing it on the slopes.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Extreme Mom from Sandpoint, ID on Monday, December 5, 2011Great looking jacket that fits well and isn't bulky or stiff. This jacket keeps my son warm in North Idaho, moving comfortably and it looks good!

- Pros: Ease of movement, Not Stiff or Bulky, Understated elegance, Warm

“My daughter wants this jacket in red. She's 9 years old but skinny and usually fits into a size 7 jeans, although length sometimes requires a size 8. Would a size 8 work or will it be huge on her?”
