Great sleeping bag and got it at a great price. Extremely lightweight and is very suitable for long backpacking trips. Compresses down into a very small stuff sack which is a big help when you're trying to pack light and carry a smaller pack. Extremely warm bag and worth every penny. Only downside t... Read More

My wife loves it. Light weight, warm, comfortable, and well made. This is our second lightweight Marmot bag, and we purchased it because the first bag has seen many nights of use in the Sierra Nevada for 5 years and it is still functioning perfectly.

Let me start by saying i ordered this in the middle of summer so I HAVE NOT FIELD TESTED IT YET.
It feels and looks like good quality. It is VERY lofty very roomy. I am 6' 2" and i have plenty of room, enough that i wander if the regular would have worked. I was surprised at how small this bag gets in the provided stuff sack. It would probably get smaller with a compresion sack. I have a 4 day trip planned in a couple of months and will update this rating at that time.

I'm pleased with this bag. Used for a week in Boundary waters. I anticipate years of use.
Pros: Lightweight, warm( in summer) and good for my 6'1" 180 lb frame.
Cons: a little narrow around legs, due to mummy style. Slightly smelly, (I have not washed it yet). I too noticed fabric getting caught in zipper if not careful, but easy to avoid.

I received it on time , in a good package .Thanks Sierra Trading .I bought this for my son , i have Pinnacle as well .Mine is 2 years old and i have done about 5-6 hiking trips . The temperature rating is realistic . I am a cold sleeper and last winter i used it at -10 C with long johns and light shirt .Was warm
through the night . It has almost full length zipper that comes in handy when is not so cold , i use it like a blanket .
Some times you can see feather or two coming out but not a big deal for me .
Over all great sleeping bag .

Great sleeping bag and got it at a great price. Extremely lightweight and is very suitable for long backpacking trips. Compresses down into a very small stuff sack which is a big help when you're trying to pack light and carry a smaller pack. Extremely warm bag and worth every penny. Only downside to the bag is that the zipper tends to snag the nylon shell when zipping it up. This creates a potential for ripping the bag. Just be cautious when zipping it up. Other than that, highly recommended.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
