Just bought this bag and went backpacking with it last weekend.
The ground was saturated with snowmelt / moisture from previous snow fall.
I was on an insulated lightweight air mattress-2.5".
One of my companions read 99% humidity and the low was 38 degrees.
I am a VERY cold sleeper. Wore my dow... Read More

This is a very nicely made bag that is lightweight. I was warm at 30 degrees. It's a bit tight around the shoulders - but it's a lightweight mummy. The zipper pretty easily catches fabric.

Great sleeping bag...just as advertised! Comes with two bags for storage (Compact stuff sack, and large sack for storage). Super soft and lightweight...can't wait for my next trip with this bag!

Buy it, you will be happy. I got it with a coupon, and was happy with that price. My first night using it, the temp unexpectedly dropped to the mid 20's and I was almost too warm. Its very comfortable, super light, and impossibly compressible. No, seriously, when I pull it out of the compression sack I feel like a magician, or exiting a clown car! It comes with a compression sack, but I got an outdoor research 15L stuff sack to protect it from water. It also comes in a big mesh sack to store in so you don't lose the fluff.

My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, but a suggestion, is that its a little tight in the shoulders. I got the regular size one, and I'm 6'2 with broad shoulders and its an OK fit. If you are any bigger than I am, think about it, the width is the only issue. And if you're fat, that might be hard for you too.

    Buy it, you'll be happy!

I bought these bags for my husband and son for Boy Scout camping trips. They recently returned for a trip with temperatures in the 20s at night and they were warm and toasty. No problems with zipper snags so far. I love the mesh bag to store it in to air it out and maintain loft between trips. We purchased a sea to summit waterproof stuff sack for each in case of heavy rain or a fall into a creek. Great buy!

  • “This bag says it will fit up to 6' but its specs say it's 86 inches long, which is way longer than 6 feet. It doesn't look like the hood area is all that big. I'm 6 feet tall and like to sink down in a bag a little bit. Wondering if I'll be able to do it with this one. Thanks.”

    • My husband is 5' 11" and says he is able to sink down in the bag. I got the regular size for both him and my son. There is a long version also.

Asked by Billlmo from MO on 1/5/2014 10:22:53 AM
    • I have not had issues with the zipper. I've never seen an actual snagless zipper on a sleeping bag. There always seems to be something to snag.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
