I'm a big guy, 6'4" and close to 300lbs. It's tough to find a bag with enough room for me and while this isn't the roomiest bag I own, it fits great. I just spent 5 nights with it in The Maze district of Canyonlands. Several of the nights were bitter cold and windy and this bag kept me toasty warm, ... Read More

This was my first down bag, and being pretty much the cheapest you could buy, I went for it expecting a good starter bag. Boy was I surprised This with my thermarest neoair mattress can go down to some low temps. I really like how the bag feels with the down insulation its hard to explain but just being inside it seems peaceful and relaxing. It doesn't come with a compression sack but in all honesty I didn't know bags did, So I ordered one with it.
A great bag if your looking to upgrade to the world of down bags, or just looking for a light 3 season bag this is definitely the one.

Note I am 6' 2" and I have "so much room for activities" in this bag

Got this expecting a compression sack--details do indicate that is only comes with a simple sack which is worthless for backpacking--oh well. Other than that bag is good, warm and not exceptionally light.

Even in the long version it is narrow in the shoulders. Not quite to it's rated temperature either. Reasonably light and well made . For a low price it is still a good bag, just watch the shoulder is cut narrow.

This is an excellent lightweight sleeping bag for backpacking and camping. I purchased this for a 5 day backpacking trip in the High Sierra in August and it performed excellently (temps in the 30's there). I've used this bag down to 20 degrees (maybe even upper teens) and it was still warm enough with a base layer and fleece layer. That is its limit though.

    I highly recommend this bag.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
