Decent bag for the priceReviewed by dexter from CA on Wednesday, April 11, 2018I purchased the long, as I am 6'3", and found it to be just long enough for me to fit. Width wise, it is just about perfect for someone of average to somewhat heavy build. Construction is pretty solid; seams looked good and the down fill was even. Zipper was fussy.
The reason this bag is so inexpensive is that it use 650 fill down, and while it does loft properly it is not as warm as 850 fill. I found that in 30 degree temps the bag seemed cold, even with a pad. Speaking of which, if you do opt to buy this bag make sure you have an insulated pad.
If you are on a budget this bag would be a good choice.
Great bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tsaddi from Oklahoma on Thursday, February 23, 2017This bag is good quality. We bought one for a friend and liked it so much we bought a second one for my husband. Good quality , YKK zippers.good down. My friend slept outside with no tent in 30 degree temperatures and was plenty warm. He is also about 6'4 and the long bag works just fine.
Color looks way better in personReviewed by Natapot from Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday, February 14, 2017For some reason, the coloring in the image looks terrible! Much nicer in person :) Bought this as a present for my boyfriend and he loves it very much (6' tall guy with plenty of room in the bag). He stays nice and warm in this bag while I am freezing cold..looks like I'll have to get one of these as well :)
Well stuffed, great priceReviewed by Anonymous from Oklahoma on Monday, January 9, 2017I was very happy with this purchase. I had bought a sleeping bag that was a different brand from Sierra Trading Post....I believe it was also 650 fill; I was disappointed, the bag was understuffed, hardly any down in it. This bag however, was nice and fluffy, well stuffed with down, and a great price, I got it for about $135! It is plenty long for a man over 6' ft. I have experience with down sleeping bags...I have actually made my own down sleeping bag. I believe this bag is well worth the cost & will keep you plenty warm. It has YKK zippers which is ideal (a good zipper company) it came with a nice lofting bag & a compression sack. I may order 2 more. ??
Down is soundVerified Buyer Reviewed by TMG from Boulder on Friday, December 9, 2016I have 5 marmot down bags, all worth every penny
Great deal!Reviewed by Dave from California (CA) on Monday, November 28, 2016I'm 6'1" tall so I'm right on the border between regular and tall bags. I bought the tall and was happy when it arrived and measured 88" vs the 90+ in the description. Also the bag is filled with "Down Defender" water resistant down! Bag is light and compresses well, using my own compression bag. Zipper works great and so far used in 35 degree weather and was nice and warm.
Cold- with little downReviewed by BiPolar from Idaho on Wednesday, July 20, 2016The bag is very comfortable for my 6'1 220 lbs with sufficient room. The problem was that I used it at 30 degrees and was very cold. Since I normally sleep warm, I investigated the problem. I found that the two baffles around my chest area had virtually no down insulation. Since I got the bag as a Christmas present, too much time had passed for me to return it. It is now sitting at Marmont for their determination. The Kelty bags I have were less expensive and of similar quality. Maybe it was just a quality control problem-we'll see.
20 degree bag by MarmotVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dewey Beach from Delaware on Friday, June 24, 2016Good quality over all .Nice & long room for boots or your Tomcat in bottom., but not both.
Real warm for this time of year, not a summer bag. Zipper seems to be of good quality,
not as heavy duty as the one on my Wiggy Bag. Fits inside the Wiggy for real cold weather , but that months away. No regrets on bag or price, just a little early for a 20 degree bag.
If you buy one , you should be happy with it. Light weight for backpacking ,however you will need a better stuff sack for the bag, like the ones that came with my Wiggy Bag. The bag from Marmot , looks like a laundry bag You could put 3 down bags in it. No regrets on my part. Or my Tom Cat he loves to get inside & hide . Tom Cat Approved!!!
Lightweight comfortable bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by SuperCotet from New York on Tuesday, December 2, 2014It comes with a stuff sack but it's not enough to compress it. I would highly recommend you buy a sack separately.mother than that, the bag is of high quality and very warm. For the price STT offers, you can't go wrong.
Good mummy bag !!Verified Buyer Reviewed by dave from oregon on Wednesday, October 15, 2014not tried it yet but looking forward to - looks and feels quality.
good for someone 6'4" tall. Seems more roomy than most mummy bags.
