Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Super bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nebraska Climber from Nebraska on Monday, May 14, 2018I have only used this bag once, so I didn't give it 5 stars for uncertainty's sake. I am not sure yet how warm it really will be in cold temps. These things I do know: in the low 40s, it was warmer than I needed and I had the zipper open most of the way to my feet. That was inside a tent, with another person in the tent, so it was not in extreme conditions. I am confident the bag will do well down to 20, and better than my previous synthetic bag. It is light and stuffs smaller than my old synthetic bag, which also was a 20 degree bag (North Face). It is super comfy because the bag itself is just soft and feels nice. I am short (5'3") and this bag fits me well without lots of dead space in the bottom, which is the case in regular bags. I found it fine in the shoulders and to move around in (but again, I didn't spend a ton of time with it all the way zipped and don't know if it would get confining eventually). I tend to roll around and try to bend my legs a lot, and I was able to be reasonably comfortable. The dog hogging the bottom of my sleeping pad was the biggest impediment to my comfort. Said dog, BTW, also approves of this bag and has been obsessed with it since it came home from STP. Upon being set out in the tent, dog decided my bag was THE place to put himself and instantly snuggled into it, having to be removed with something of a struggle. So far we're both very happy with it.
Great snuggley bag! Probably not for a taller woman?Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gabby from California on Tuesday, July 11, 2017I'm only giving it 4 because I haven't actually gotten to use it yet and don't know how it will perform on a trip. As well, I am only 5 ft tall, and the bag's length was just roomy enough at the bottom, but someone over 5'3" might be a little uncomfortable. It packs down nicely into the stuff sack and could be compressed more with straps if you wanted. Fits nice at the bottom of my 60L pack. Very warm as soon as I got into it, so I'm sure it will do well in cold temps. And a great quality bag as well.
Fluffy and warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Chaco the Dog from Oregon on Wednesday, June 28, 2017Love this bag. It kept me warm on the Oregon Coast and was big enough that I shared it with my dog on a cold night.
great valueVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jen in Trinity from California on Wednesday, May 10, 2017I look forward to taking this bag into the Trinity Alps, it's light weight and warm. I love the easy to use zipper and extra foot room. I'm 5'5 and 140lbs, I was able to lay on my side with one knee bent. I shopped around for a long time and I am very happy with this bag for the price and weight. I have already recommended it to friends.
For backpacking in the mountains during the summer.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Andrea art hiker from Colorado on Thursday, December 15, 2016This is my second mummy bag for backpacking. I have a heavier poly bag for spring and fall, I wanted to reduce my weight for longer summer trips yet still stay warm at night. The shorter women's style helps with the weight. Although I haven't taken it out backpacking yet, I got inside it because I was concerned about other reviews saying it was too short. I'm 5'5", 155 lbs. It was roomy enough for me, but if I were an inch or two taller I might have length issues. So the description of 5'6" is very accurate, if you're taller than that, you'll be sticking out of it a bit. It looks like it's a great bag, and I'll really enjoy having it.
Awesome sleeping bagVerified Buyer Reviewed by Frankee from Utah on Friday, September 16, 2016Went camping outside of Durango CO in the mountains this past weekend and I was perfectly content and warm in the bag. Plus it packs down so nicely and is lightweight. Love it!
SmallReviewed by Rachel from Colorado on Friday, August 19, 2016Is a very small sleeping bag! I'm 5' 6" and my body barely fit in the bag. Too bad there's not a larger size.
great bag for priceReviewed by Brian from Charlotte on Wednesday, May 18, 2016Most likely if your purchasing this bag from STP your looking for bargain deals on good products. This bag fits that bill especially w/ the 30% coupon. Nowhere else can you purchase a decent Down bag for around 130. This bag doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it is compressible and warm. If you sleep cold, toss on a thick base layer but bang for buck this bag will allow you to have some extra cash for that tent or stove you've been eyeballing.
Great DealReviewed by Sokotrekker from California on Tuesday, April 26, 2016Really light, and very warm. Went camping in cool weather and it was too warm. It will be great in the Sierras this summer.
Great bag but ..Verified Buyer Reviewed by Avid Adventurer from PA on Wednesday, November 18, 2015Love the weight, loft, quality but my feet were cold? Even with a heavy fleece blanket on top? I was car camping but bought this for carrying a pack. So I'll have to try it again without the fleece blanket and see if it performs as expected. The length was perfect, I'm 5'6" 132lb. Hoping this will work out as I really like this well made bag.
