I bought 2 of these for my son and I on one of those deal flyer days. We have other bags rated 30, but started backpacking year round. We needed solid winter bags. These have been great! They haven't leaked, they're comfortable, they pack small.

Question & Answer

Questions about this product? Get answers from community and staff experts.

  • “I am considering this bag and Marmot 5°F Rampart. Those bags look almost same except fill-power and size.
What is different between Snowcrest and Rampart? Which one is warmer?
And I am 5' 10". Should I order the long one?”
Asked by Chris from Seoul on 10/5/2014 7:09:15 PM
    • I don't know the difference between the two bags. I am 5'1" and had plenty of extra room. I think you would fit in this bag, but it would be snug on your feet.

  • “What is the stuff sack volume? Compressed volume?”
Asked by Blaze from Tennessee on 9/11/2014 4:39:17 AM
    • According to the product specs above: Stuff size: 16x8" so the volume would be 804.25 cu. in.

  • “I'm a 5'7'', 110 lb female. Would this bag be too big for me? Thanks!”
Asked by WantToStayWarm from Colorado on 7/14/2014 10:11:15 AM
    • I'm 5'7" too and it fits fine.

    • I am about 5'4 and 120lbs (very fit) and this sleeping bag works great for me. I don't like a sleeping bag that's too tight because when it's cold and after i put layers on the sleeping bag can still be roomy.

  • “Would you pls tell me how much fill weight of goose down?”
Asked by ken zuo from China on 10/28/2013 10:15:42 AM
    • The fill weight is 28 oz. The down weight is 22.5oz and the feather is 5.5oz

  • “Does this bag come in a right zip? And if so would it be compatible with connecting two together? ”

    • Sorry, we have this bag only available with a left side zip.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
