I ordered this to keep me nice and warm during harsh Montana winters. I ordered the jacket in the forest green color and it looks fantastic. It's not too bulky and packs away nicely. The 800 fill keeps me well insulated, although I haven't experienced temperatures under 20 degrees F with it yet. The... Read More

Super comfortable, very lightweight, warm. Has great pockets that are adequate size (including more than enough room, in the upper outside pocket, for a smart phone) that zip shut. Two-way zipper is good to have but could have been a bit beefier- but it's fine. The "gorilla arms" another reviewer mentioned aren't there - maybe they have a different body type. I wore this at 15 below zero (with no wind) yesterday with only a very light sweatshirt underneath & was toasty warm (your results may vary). Nice looking jacket, too.

I bought this for my step-dad for christmas. He loves it! Nice and warm without the bulk; longer length to protect his butt; attached hood for extra warmth or in case it rains. There are only two things that I wish were different. 1: I wish the outer fabric was a little tougher. Seems like it has a high likelihood of tearing if it where to catch on something, and 2: I think all jackets, especially down, should automatically have at least a water resistant coating!

Love it. Only problem was when I tried to order another for a friend. They were out of mediums

It has been cold in the midwest and I wanted a nice warm jacket. This 800 fill jacket does the trick. Warm and a great fit.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
