Tough material. Looks like it will last for years to come. When I got it I thought dam it is small. As you fill the 3 compartments though it just keeps growing. I am in nursing school and we got a mountain of books. My other packs I was always leaving something out. Now I always got em all with me a... Read More

I was hoping to like the bag more than I do. It has the right number of straps and compartments to fit my needs, but the zippers are flimsy, with small tabs. Thus they are difficult to operate. I expect them to fail before any other element of the bag. In future I'll look for a bag with heavyweight zippers and strong pull tabs.

Good small pack for travel or trail that is comfortable with good features. Zippers are a little small or narrow.

I purchased this pack to replace an aging Eagle Creek bag that was losing its interior waterproof coating and dropping flakes all over everything inside. This Marmot pack will be used primarily as a personal, carry-on bag for airline travel, as it fits easily under the seat and has plenty of organizing pockets and compartments for miscellaneous items I may want to access in flight. I like the design and the color combination is very attractive (Navy blue with turquoise trim). It fits me comfortably and seems to be well made, although it hasn't been tested extensively yet. Marmot has an excellent reputation, so I'm expecting good long-term durability. The only shortcomings I noticed was the fabric seems lighter and thinner than what I was hoping for (time will tell!) and the zipper pulls could be a little more substantial. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Like it a lot but it is hard to get the zippers to close together. Anyway I try to do it they will not zip together but I did figure if you fold back the cloth covering the zippers the zippers will close & meet each other much easier.

My daughter uses this pack for school and it is very durable for lots of heavy books!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
