Tough material. Looks like it will last for years to come. When I got it I thought dam it is small. As you fill the 3 compartments though it just keeps growing. I am in nursing school and we got a mountain of books. My other packs I was always leaving something out. Now I always got em all with me a... Read More
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Displaced Coloradan from Orange City, IA on Wednesday, January 11, 2017I was hoping to like the bag more than I do. It has the right number of straps and compartments to fit my needs, but the zippers are flimsy, with small tabs. Thus they are difficult to operate. I expect them to fail before any other element of the bag. In future I'll look for a bag with heavyweight zippers and strong pull tabs.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Floyd in Washington from Washington on Wednesday, November 23, 2016Good small pack for travel or trail that is comfortable with good features. Zippers are a little small or narrow.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by LarryU from Harrisburg, PA on Monday, November 14, 2016I purchased this pack to replace an aging Eagle Creek bag that was losing its interior waterproof coating and dropping flakes all over everything inside. This Marmot pack will be used primarily as a personal, carry-on bag for airline travel, as it fits easily under the seat and has plenty of organizing pockets and compartments for miscellaneous items I may want to access in flight. I like the design and the color combination is very attractive (Navy blue with turquoise trim). It fits me comfortably and seems to be well made, although it hasn't been tested extensively yet. Marmot has an excellent reputation, so I'm expecting good long-term durability. The only shortcomings I noticed was the fabric seems lighter and thinner than what I was hoping for (time will tell!) and the zipper pulls could be a little more substantial. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by RT from Buffalo NY on Sunday, November 13, 2016Like it a lot but it is hard to get the zippers to close together. Anyway I try to do it they will not zip together but I did figure if you fold back the cloth covering the zippers the zippers will close & meet each other much easier.

“How big of a laptop will this accommodate?
Also, are there 3 completely separate pockets, or do 2 of the zippers access a large compartment with the laptop/bladder sleeve?”
3 Separate Pockets; the largest approximately 13" x 20" has a sleeve that will accommodate a laptop. I have no idea what a bladder sleeve might be but if you want some external access I would say no.
