A Value As Priced At STP.

I've got this jacket as well as TNF Thermoball full-zip jacket. These two jackets are similar. This one is slightly, I mean slightly, narrower cut through the chest/shoulders. I'm 5'10" w/ a 34" waist and I purchased the large which is a little big for me. The large, however, isn't too large for me to use so I kept it. I like both the Thermoball and this jacket. It has ever so little more bulk which is to say it's a relatively lightweight and thin jacket too. Like the Thermoball it's an overachiever for warmth versus bulk. It's good to around freezing without additional layers and after than you'll need a good base, maybe a thin vest, to compliment it if you are staying out for more than, say, an hour. For the cold months of January and February in Alabama I mostly wear right on top of my usual clothes and I add layers according to if I'm out for a time and the temps are lower than average. I really like this jacket. It is warm enough and it is certainly easy to be comfortable due to it's lightness. The quality is good too. I'd say if you are thinking of spending $150 to $200 on TNF Thermoball you might consider saving some jack and going with this jacket because it's very similar and a great deal here.
