Really nice shell that is nearly perfect. Accurate per size chart through the chest and torso and the sleeves are just a touch long. I ordered size Large and am 6'1", 190lbs, 43" chest, and 35" sleeve. Fairly athletic fit without excessive fabric, but I still have room (barely) for my Rab Infinity Endurance down jacket underneath, which is a pretty substantial puffy short of big mountain expedition climbing , Only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me is the wrist closure. When wearing with mid-layers underneath or gloves, they are fine, but if you are wearing the jacket with only a baselayer, the sleeves will slide over your hands, even in the tightest position. This brings more attention to the fact that the sleeves are a touch long (long sleeves whould be great if you are a rock or ice climber, but that is not my gig really). It is a small annoyance, but at $450 retail, I want those details to be better. As far as using the shell, it is pretty solid. I am coming out of a Westcomb Neoshell, which definitely breathes a little better, but I was not impressed with the long term durability. The neoshell starts pilling similar to wool garments in high use areas after 1-2 seasons of use. Hoping this jacket holds up better with the small penalty on breathability. Runs hot for skinning up backcountry touring, but is nice for a day at the resort. Should be ok for multiday backpacking, though I prefer lighter options unless the forecast is calling for heavy precipitation. For a single do everything kind of shell, I think it is a solid choice, especially considering that I paid 1/3 of retail on STP. You just have to be ok with highlighter yellow, you will be easy to pick out of a crowd, for sure!
