Excellent versatile layer...

Before buying this piece of gear...I had read a lot of negative reviews of this wind shirt... comparing it to a previous Marmot version of the product...but I have never seen the previous Marmot product so I can only comment on this one.
It's light... (light enough)... so I'm guessing it's the new model... and if layered under a down jacket / parka... it offers a lot of warmth retention.
I'm not sure how other people judge correct fit... but the videos I saw of people reviewing this wind shirt looked like they had stolen some kids ball jacket.
Too tight and too short is pointless when trying to save weight and stay warm.
I wear an upper body XL for most outdoor brands... and the sleeves on this piece of gear are long... and are designed long for a reason.
I would not want this shirt any shorter in the body at XL.
This wind shirt has long sleeves for reaching upwards and all around... if I was a jogger I might buy a size under my normal... but I', not a jogger or a runner and I never will be... I am a winter hiker so I will need that extra inch in the sleeves for camp chores.
Recommended product.
Wish I had one of the mythical originals to compare it to.
