This jacket is extremely well made and is a great windbreaker for warmer weather. It offers absolutely no insulations but blocks wind and sheds light rain. It has a slim fit so if you want to layer, I would suggest buying a size up.

I purchased the bright orange color which is so bright it looks like it produces its own light. That is great if you want to be seen.

My only real complaint of this jacket is that it has a very long torso. I am 5' 11" tall and my size large Estes jacket falls past my hips. I would prefer a slim fit jacket like this be shorter so it does not bind on my hips when I bend over, but that's my picky taste and doesn't pose much of a real world problem. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, especially for the STP price.

This is one of my favorites for wearing around town; I find I can wear a long sleeve shirt or sweater underneath without having any difficulty with the under layers bunching up in the arms. Yet the jacket still has an athletic cut and looks really sharp. I'm 6'1" 175, and I got the medium. Very highly recommended!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
