Noticeably lighter shell and liner than the regular driclime windshirt. Fit seems just SLIGHTLY slimmer than the regular windshirt. The hood is not helmet sized and fits nicely over head or hat and has adjustments. Driclime lining stops mid-forearm. After several outings, I feel the Ether doesn'... Read More

This is a great cold/cool weather softshell for high aerobic activities. I wore it hiking with a long sleeve power dry shirt. I started out in 30 degree temps with wind and felt just a slight chill. I was comfortable until the temp reached about 40 degrees and then I had to unzip it. At 45 degrees I took it off.

Lighter than the DriClime Windshirt with 3 zippered pockets and a fitted hood. Very light weight and breathable. Order a half size up as this is an athletic cut. I'm 5'10" 170 lbs and the large fit great. This jackets compresses to a very small package so it's easy to take with you for emergency protection, or for when you need some protection from wind or light precipitation.

This is my second one of these. My first is probably 5-8 yrs old. Still using it, but the zipper is getting problematic.

Everything about this jacket is on target except the lining material has more friction than most any liner I've worn. This makes putting the jacket on a little more difficult especially over non-slippery fabrics.

Wear it close to skin or as a second layer. Incredible for hiking an running or outdoor activities. Throw in the hood and you have the perfect coat

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
