When did UPF collar shirts become so pretty! They used to be with baggy sleeves and waist line, solid colors, mostly khaki, and weird vents everywhere. I understand the utility part of the design but I don't want to look like I am on a safari trip all the time.

So this UPF shirt looks normal, flattering in fact. The material feel soft, amazingly soft, not that rayon feel but has the cotton feel. Not sure how to describe this, it's lightweight but it's thicker, but not "thick". I understand because it's to achieve UPF 50. I guess I would say it's just thicker compare to the Marmot UPF 30 shirt which is single layer of fabric instead of double VERY THIN layers of fabric.

Living in Colorado, I always wear a long-sleeve UPF shirt like this. And this one is feminine and fun. However, I'm 5'7" 155 LBs with broad shoulders and longer arms, and this size Medium shirt is too tight across my shoulders, in my arms, and a bit in my torso. (And the large is not available.) So I'd describe the fit as slim. And it has no stretch. I'm returning it. The Club Ride UPF 30 long-sleeve plaid shirt fits me perfectly in a Medium. My favorite shirts like these are in a size Medium and are ExOfficio's Kismet (style) b/c they are light-weight, stretchy and high-quality; Sierra Trading Post carries or carried both those other two tops.

My new favorite. Material is soft and light but definitely a functional shirt for wearing outdoors. Beautiful colors, I especially like the inside that shows when you roll the sleeves and under the buttons and collar, which is pretty turquoise with little checks. Fits great - medium I'm 5'7" weigh 140 but all my weight is bottom half - small waist but strong arms and shoulders so shirts can be uncomfortable in shoulders.

  • “Do you have a size large available? If so what color? Thank you.”
Asked by Giddyupjane from Roy, Washington on 7/8/2017 6:43:02 PM
    • Currently medium is the largest we have. Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, some sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
