Wow! The color is exactly as pictured, the jacket fits nicely with a little extra room for a light layer, zippers work, hood is functional. Everything you'd expect from Marmot and a great price.

I really like the jacket, great fit, very comfortable. I tried it out walking the dog in a deluge of rain, and it kept me dry. I don't think it is as warm as I expected, but i will be able to wear a down vest underneath while skiing. There are two things I don't like about the jacket: 1. The drawstring to tighten down the hood is only on the back of the hood. There should be another drawstring to tighten down the front (the elastic is there, just not a way to tighten it!). 2. I don't like the powder skirt, it is bulky and not that effective. But it is easily zipped out. Even with these flaws though, you can't beat the price (I got it for $99). I'm happy with the purchase, but I wouldn't have paid full price ($265).

Haven't used it yet. We're still waiting on winter to arrive... It's my first Marmot product.
Marmot's website listed a lower breathable/waterproof rating for MemBrain technology than the 20k/20k advertised by STP in the product description.
I already have a heavy duty jacket for serious weather on the mountain. I was looking for something to wear on milder days, and I think this coat will work.
The fit is great. It's pretty cute. It has a square shape which would normally turn me off, but it's a little shorter in length than most jackets, so the boxy cut looks and feels ok.
I like the simple, no-frills design, but I would have liked to have wrist cuffs with thumb holes. I'll have to wear long gloves with this jacket.
My typical size Small fits me at 5'5" and 125lbs with room for layers, but not much overall length or sleeve length to spare.

I really liked this jacket, but it was too small on me, so I sent it back. They didn't have the larger size, so I found it on another site and ordered it there.

I haven't actually worn it skiing yet - I'll try that out this weekend! But so far so good. It's warm without being too bulky, and sits nicely over the hips. The green color is my fave. Lots of nicely placed pockets for storage while on the slopes. Zipper is a little finicky, but once started it zips up just fine.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
