Great Jacket - Too BigVerified Buyer Reviewed by SavvyShopper from San Jose on Wednesday, February 14, 2018I bought the lovely silver Marmot down jacket in Large (i'm 5/8' - 145 lbs) and although the length was great, it was too wide. I'm reluctantly returning it.

Nice little jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by HoosierKaren from New Albany, IN. on Monday, January 29, 2018Size true. Nice fill. Silver gray is a nice basic color for fall through spring. Nice for the quick errands and in and out of the car when it’s cold but you don’t want the longer coat.
Nice Down CoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Gooutsidetoplay from Utah on Thursday, January 25, 2018Nice coat, true to size in the medium. I was looking for a water-resistant down jacket without a hood and this was a great deal.
Warm and CozyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Alie the Skier from GA on Wednesday, January 17, 2018This jacket is great for any type of cold. I bought this jacket for our trip to Canada. It kept me warm and cozy in negative degree weather. Plus it is fashionable. I love MARMOT!
Fits a bit big!Reviewed by amc from california on Saturday, December 16, 2017I wear anywhere from a 4-10 depending on who makes what, crazy I know. But I would probably say I am a true medium/size 8. I found this jacket to be very roomy which I don't mind since I am going to layer under it.
Perfect, and perfectly simple, too!Reviewed by Susi Snowstormer from Cascade Mountains, WA on Monday, May 29, 2017I've been a mountain sports enthusiast for almost 50 years and have worn a lot of down jackets. This one is my new favorite. It's light, simple, fits well, washes well, feels fabulous (silky), and the quality of the down is excellent (plus it's water resistant down so it stays fluffy in damp weather). I'd buy it again in a flash, but the one I have looks like it'll last a long time, so there's no need. However, I did scout around to see if it's available in any colors that appeal to me (mine's black), but couldn't find any in my size w/color I like.
The design is EXACTLY perfect. Just the details you want and need, and no extraneous doo-dads. The inside pocket is great. The zippers work perfectly. I love the simplicity of it. A dream come true. Hope they don't discontinue it!
Cute but flimsy (defective)Verified Buyer Reviewed by G the VTer from Vermont on Monday, January 23, 2017I was hoping the first one of these that popped a hole in the seam right away was just a fluke. No, it's the jacket. I bought my boyfriend the "men's" version. He only wore it for less than a few hours total, and feathers are flying out everywhere.
I hope I get a quick refund from STP next time I can take the 1 1/2 hour (each way) drive! I need a jacket. Just, not this one.
Garbage. A total waste of time and money and I'm freezing without a jacket ??
So utterly disappointedVerified Buyer Reviewed by G the VTer from Vermont on Monday, January 23, 2017My boyfriend and I both just bought similar Marmot jackets and BOTH have had to be returned. The material is so cheap, the feathers poke holes in the jacket.
The first one we ordered was for me, I was hoping it was just a defective piece, so I returned it for the same jacket. In the meantime, I ordered my boyfriend this jacket, and it was all feathers in less than a few days with very little wear. Just to the car and back.
I now have to go get a refund for my jacket because I KNOW it is defective. This has been a long and difficult ride. I need a jacket. It's January in Vermont!
STP has excellent customer service, but these Marmot jackets are so cheaply made and the return process has been a genuine headache. I hope they refund my money right away so I can get something to replace it all in one long trip to Burlington.
Warm down coat.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Matt T. from Northern New York State on Thursday, January 12, 2017Large bought for girlfriend for xmas, she is 5'7, 150, fits perfect.
Question & Answer
Questions about this product? Get answers from community and staff experts.
“I see that it says size 10 next to large in the Marmot women jackets. However, if you go to Marmot sizing, they say a large is a 12-14. Can you explain? Do not want to get a coat too small”
The sizes do correspond with the sizing chart that we have been given for this item. If you scroll on the page you can view the full size chart.
“What is the fill weight of the down in the jacket?”
Marmot does not list the fill weight, but only the fill power. The total weight of the jacket is Weight: 1 lb. 1 oz. and the fill power is 700.
“the jacket is filled of goose down or duck down?”
According to the product specs tab: Insulation: 85% duck down, 15% feathers
“Does this jacket have ant inside pockets?”
I'm not sure what "ant" means. It does have pockets that are fleece lined with zippers. The end of the pull chord is hidden inside the pockets, which is used to cinch the bottom of the coat. Hope that helps.
Yes, this jacket has one fairly large (fits your entire hand) zippered pocket on the inside left.
