So I ordered a medium in this jacket and it was very tight. Have no idea if a large would have worked but only xl was available. So I just returned the jacket and regrettably had to pay for shipping.

It is warm and exceptionally well-made. I love the bright color and will have a great time walking my dog in the winter with this coat. It is a little snug, so if you want to wear a sweater underneath I would buy a size up.

I'm a size 7/8 and bought a medium and it fits perfect. A sweater will fit underneath. It feels like it will be very warm. The Lime color is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish the hood was a bit larger. It fits my head, but doesn't go down over my forehead much. I like to protect my bangs from the snowfall.

It's been in the thirty below zero range here for an extended period of time. I didn't have a coat that would keep me warm under those conditions. If it gets that cold here it's usually only for a day or two, not weeks on end...or the whole winter! I haven't bought a brand new coat in years and I could't be happier with this one! I bought myself one in Aubergine and my daughter one in the lime color. We both love them and couldn't have afforded them if it weren't for Sierra Trading Post! (So many thanks to these folks!)
The only thing I noticed about the fit is that the sleeve length is a bit long on me, but otherwise it's perfect. Maybe my arms are shorter than what is standard for that size, who knows? lol. But this tiny issue does not phase my pleasure! Warm Warm WARM! Yay! I was starting to doubt that anything could keep me warm in this weather! -

It is a very good winter down coat on par with the North Face I have but much more stylish for a teen. It's warm serious outerwear, but the deep aubergine color (actually darker than the pictures, which is great), flattering fitted body and faux fur hood reads more sophisticated than a lot of snow jackets. She was very pleased. When we purchased, I could not find it anywhere on the internet for less that $130 more than we paid at STP. A great deal for a high quality down jacket. Shipping was on schedule even with the snowstorms we experienced here in the southeast. Also, seems to run true to size but is fitted and might be less flattering for some body types, so keep that in mind.
