Awesome jacket!

Water resistant and extremely warm. On a trip through Peru with it now, soon ill test its warmth camping in Patagonia. But for such a remarkably lightweight jacket it is also my warmest, so I'm sure it will perform exceptionally.

Warm and very stylish, perfect for very cold weather. Love the pockets and easy to operate zippers, sleeve cuffs have a
thumb hole to keep sleeves put and keep out the cold.
We ordered the mallard green and it is a soft ocean green with tiny pattern, overall a super buy.
Only wished we would have gotten it sooner!

  • “Can this jacket compress down into a pocket or even a small compression sack? Looking to take on a summit attempt on My. Hood. I want to put this on over everything when we take breaks.”

    • This jacket is good for ski and town . Not for summit on high mountain- - I'm doing mountaineering over 30 years.
Fabric is not like pertex so jacket is not good compressed . Best way for summits is marmot Greenland

    • Great jacket. Doubt that it would fit in its' own pocket. Will compress to about the size of a football though. Hope this helps and good luck.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
