Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jeff from Oregon on Thursday, March 16, 2017Not quite as warm as the typical synthetic insulation, but the great breathability makes it comfortable in a wider range of temperatures. Light and comfortable and does a good job with wind and light rain.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cj from Arkansas on Thursday, October 13, 2016Very light and keeps you really warm. 10/10 would recommend!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dan the Trout lover from Kansas City on Thursday, February 11, 2016This jacket does what it says it will do: it keeps you warm and protected in moderate to cool weather (down to about 40 degrees), with an icebreaker layer under it. It's warmer than it appears, and if you're moving quickly (walking, running, etc.), you may not even need the icebreaker layer. It's not windproof, but keeps most of the cold air out, while it lets heat escape (so you avoid overheating). The hood is close fitting, with a single adjustment in the back of the hood for colder, windy days. Since I never wear a helmet (suburban walker, primarily), this is VERY GOOD. As part of a layering system with primaloft and / or down on top of it, you really can cover a wide range of temperatures. It's Marmot, so the sizing is also just right; I wear a Medium, and this fits just like other Marmot Mediums. Getting a great deal from Sierra Trading Post was the cherry on top of the whipped cream....what a deal!
