This is an excellent jacket. I use it to run in cold temps. I ran in Omaha in 27 degrees with a thin base layer and I stayed warm. Don't let the lightweight fool you. I also used it running in Colorado in cold temps. It breaths well and dries fast. It also packs well without taking up much room. I'm 5'5 120lbs and a small fits perfectly. Hope this helps

I love this jacket, it's the best. It has a nice fit, is flattering and warm. Its my new favorite! I am 5'2 and 117lbs and the small fit's me perfectly.

I really wanted to love this jacket. It seemed to be the perfect weight to be able to wear in not-so-cold conditions but also keep me warm when the weather dropped. It had tons of nice features, felt great to wear and seemed to be quality construction. The fit was so bizarre though. I'm 5ft 4inches and it was very long on me. It also seemed to be cut very straight for a women's jacket...I'm curvy and so the very long cut took it low on my hips where it was tight...arms were long. If you're a tall person or are straight shaped or want something long this jacket is for you! I ended up returning because of the fit, I just felt it was too unflattering.

I recently bought this jacket to wear running errands and possibly wear hiking. I live in Colorado and we just had a massive snow storm. Temperatures dropped to the teens and this jacket kept me warm with only a thin base layer shirt under it! I was in shock!! You can not feel the wind at all in this jacket! I wore it shoveling snow in a blizzard and it kept me dry after an hour of being outside and being beaten with heavy snow. I love this jacket, it was the best investment ever! I wear this jacket instead of my Eddie bauer first accent jacket in cold weather. I am 5'11 and 160lbs. I ordered the large and it fit perfectly! It extremely light weight too! I can't wait to take it winter camping in the rockies!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
