Brought this jacket backpacking in Yosemite and it was awesome. You can wear it with just a tshirt for light warmth or pair it with a fleece to really make it warm. The fit was perfect. I am 5'11'' and was nervous that it might be a little to short, but the large fit me perfectly. Plenty of room wi... Read More

First of all, it would be so helpful if reviewers would share their height, weight and measurements. I ordered the M in Electric Blue and had to return it. I am 5'5", 128lbs. 37, 29, 39. That would be right according to the size chart. I bought it to use as a layering piece for skiing - or as a jacket for spring skiing temps. There is not enough room to accommodate base or mid-layers underneath. Didn't exchange for the L b/c it would have been too long. Pocket flaps are not sewn down, so if the jacket is the slightest bit snug, they bunch out. I can see someone getting that flap caught in the zipper.. I gave it 3 stars b/c I could tell it was warm just by trying it on in the house, is well made (except for the design of the pocket flaps), the color was vibrant, and the feather/down insulation didn't show through

Loved the jacket but I ordered an XS and it was a little snug, pretty true to size but had hoped it would fit. I had to return it and they were out of the small, really bummed I didn't get the correct size first time around. It was nice and feminine fit and super warm just putting it on in my house.

I purchased this jacket to take on a backpacking trip next summer in Yellowstone. I haven't put it to the test yet but I am very happy with how it fits. I ordered a M and am 5'8'' and ~ 135lbs. Sleeves are perfect length and I can easily wear layers underneath. It's incredibly light and can be stuffed into one of its own pockets.

I bought this in a M, one size up from what I usually wear after reading online reviews. I'm 5'1" and 125lbs. It fits great, with plenty of room underneath for layers with comfortable movement. It's also nice and warm (a little too warm for me at the moment) but it'll be great for winter!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
