Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Single Mom Camper from Colorado on Monday, July 29, 2013Summer camping in Colorado pretty much will include rain in the forecast at some point. Now that I'm camping solo with kids, puddles in the corners and an overall leaky tent had to go. I did a lot of research on which tent to buy and ended up getting the Marmot Kronos 4-person tent as it had good reviews, exceptional price, looked easy to setup and offered a nice rain fly.
This tent is AWESOME!
I'm a small woman and have no issue with setting it up myself. The pockets sewn into the netting makes easy storage and retrieval of common items like headlamps, toothbrushes, sunscreen, bug spray, cell phones, keys, etc. The tent easily accommodates a queen size air mattress with tons of room to spare. The hook at the top of the interior is perfect to hold lighting. The vestibule was large enough for us to store other camp gear like our stove, cooking gear and firewood (gotta keep that dry!!!)
We just returned from a camping trip to Molly Brown in Leadville. It rained every day and at one point rained 27 hours straight. Seriously. Wind, blowing rain, cold. The good news, NOT A DROP OF WATER came in the tent.
The only two cons I can say is that the vestibule is hard to zip all the way closed from the interior and the tent stakes bent with the slightest of pressure.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by outdoor lover from Boston, MA on Sunday, September 30, 2012It rained all night when I went camping and there were no leaks at all! The one con is that the poles are a little flimsy, as some of the other reviews said but they still work.

Question & Answer
Questions about this product? Get answers from community and staff experts.
“What color is the tent & fly ?”
The fly is a light orange/ burnt orange color. Thanks for asking.
“Which fly comes with the tent, the beige or pumpkin colored one? There are two pictures with two different color flys.”
The only color we have available is the Pale Pumpkin/Terra Cotta (70)
“shows 2 colors pumpkin terra cotta, doors appear different than sand color doors. I like the doors on the pumpkin colored tent. Is that an accurate picture of the doors on the pumpkin colored tent”
The picture of the doors on the pumpkin colored tent is accurate.
“Does it come with instructions. I didn't see any when I got the product.”
Unfortunately I do not believe it does. Sorry for the inconvenience.
“What is the water proof rating in mm for the rainfly and floor?”
Tents do not list a waterproof rating.
“So, can the "back" door be used if the fly is on?”
“The kronos tent, 1461r, why 2 doors if only 1 vestibule?|Is this supposed to be the same tent marmot sells as the Den4p?”
The tent has two doors for easy in and out access if you do not have the fly with the vestibule on the tent.
This tent "can" fit 4-5 people and the extra door would allow those in the rear of the tent easy in/out with less disturbance to the others during those middle of the night bathroom breaks.
“Does this tent come with a ground cloth (foot print)? Does it come with a gear loft or attic?||Thanks, Matt”
The Kronos we stock does not include a footprint or gear loft.
u tube has a couple of videos that will show you how to make a footprint. It took me about an hour and all I had to purchase was a gromet holder at Home Depot and a blue rain tarp.
