I need a lightweight soft shell so I keep looking.
I see the M3 product from the Marmot,
Keep an eye on this. I saw that the price was dropping a lot and bought it.
If you want a light product, this product seems to fit.
    I enjoy Hagloff's rim plex products ...
There is not much difference in weight difference with the product.
It has become a popular product.
  • Perfect light weight softshell
Reviewed by M from Midwest on Friday, October 27, 2017
This is the perfect light weight softshell. The fabric is similar in weight to the OR Ferrosi jacket fabric (not the thicker material of the OR Ferrosi hoody). It's very nice to be able to pack it into it's own pocket when traveling. Fit is perfect and true to size with other Marmot products. There is a very light fleece lining on the front of the jacket. I can't imagine it will stand up to much moisture, as the fabric is very thin, but it works great to block a majority of the wind. Hood doesn't have any adjustments but works well over a bare head and has a nice brim.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
