Haven't tested this in the rain yet, but very happy with the look and feel. Also, it's light and packable which is what I was looking for.

Was looking for an ultralight rain jacket that was packable AND had hand pockets. This jacket certainly fits the bill and will be great to try around town and for hiking/running trails. Only drawback is that is does not have pit zips/ventilation but that would have added some weight or moved me up to the Super Mica. This jacket weighs in at a minuscule 7 oz and is prefect for those seeking a minimalist jacket that can be stuffed away into its own pocket as an extra layer.

I'm 6'6", 215, 36-37 sleeve length so sizing is always tough. I ordered an XL. I've had good luck with other Marmot products lately but the body of this jacket was short and boxy. The bottom was a couple inches above my belt. A large probably would've been the right size around my torso but also shorter. The sleeves on the XL would've been alright. Returned
Having to assign a star value was really fair since I didn't test the performance of the shell.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
