As a teacher, I intend to use this coat whilst doing yard duty on very cold wintry days. It's light but very cosy and warm. I am very happy with my purchase.

I usually wear a 16-18, but this 2x coat is a pretty perfect fit. I've worn it for several months in below zero degree Farenheit weather as well as up to 40 degrees. It's very warm, can layer a bit underneath. The hood is very roomy, but I found if I tilt the fake fur back, that helps keep it out of my face too much. It's a great coat for not molting feathers too much; my Columbia coat was horrid for doing that. This is a great coat and attractive too.

I've been hunting around for a warm and attractive down coat for a coupe of years. I am so happy I ordered this coat - it's perfect. It's very warm and true to size.

Love this coat. It's light weight and flattering. Reviews said it runs small and it does. Normally I take a M but bought a L due to all reviews. It still isn't very roomy considering I went up a size

Another excellent product from Marmot. Would be five star if the "fur" trim were not so scruffy. Fortunately this is removable and without it the coat looks great. Coat runs small in size so order up.

Im 5'10 and wear sz14. Bought an xl and fits great. Room in the arms and chest to be able t o wear thick sweaters. Cannot figure out the drawstring on the hood and its a little big. Def recommend.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
