Bought it mainly on Marmot name once I saw the STP coupon drop as I've always had good experience w/ Marmot quality and sizing. Got XL (have 46" chest) and fit is bang on per usual. • Great quality but runs big

The shirt is well made and perfect for summer hiking. Very loose fitting. I purchased a LARGE size and fits like an XL. It's roomy but comfortable nonetheless. I would order a size smaller if you prefer a less roomier fit.

Bought it mainly on Marmot name once I saw the STP coupon drop as I've always had good experience w/ Marmot quality and sizing. Got XL (have 46" chest) and fit is bang on per usual. Sleeve openings not overly small or large. Nice cut. By comparison - when I order Mountain Hardwear I need to order my tops in Large (even though the MH sizing chart says their Large suits 42-45). I'm probably not alone in that experience.

Somehow I missed the 'brushed polyester' in the description before ordering. Nice surprise once I slipped it on. Very soft & comfortable. Will look for more brushed poly button-up now.

If you know what you're looking for, you get what you expect with this shirt. Good quality typical of Marmot. The fit is true to size for me, and the shirt looks good out of the package. As always, inspect carefully before laundering, because STP won't accept a return after laundering. A good, lightweight shirt - good for outdoor activities in hot weather.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
