Good Light Weight Rain Jacket
Reviewed by Montana Ann from Montana on Monday, March 17, 2014
I bought this jacket to replace a stolen Mountain Hardware Pac-lite jacket. It is winter in Montana, so I have not been able to really try it out in rain while hiking. But I like the fabric which will allow water to bead up run off better than other fabrics. It is very light weight and compactable, has pit-zips, and zippered pockets, all important to me. I am still deciding if I like the lime green color - I am just more of a earth tone person. Size wise, I have larger hips so I tend to size up. I generally wear a size 10, and purchased the large. The jacket is on the verge of being too large but I like the looser fit around the hips (length is mid-hip) especially since the zipper is NOT 2-way. There is ample room for extra clothing (even a heavy pile top) underneath. For the price on STP, it is a good buy if you are looking for a light weight Gore-tex jacket.
