Great waterproof, lightweight jacket

I bought this as an outer layer for a sea kayaking trip in Glacier Bay Alaska last summer. It rained nearly continuously for 12 days and this jacket was a CHAMP! For comparison, the fabric is a bit heavier than the Marmot PreCip line (and also more waterproof, as I discovered early on in my trip). In cooler weather it definitely requires layers underneath, but that honestly just makes it all that more versatile. I have a longer torso and this jacket gave decent coverage (I have found that Marmot is generally longer than comparable brands). The hood on this jacket is adjustable in many ways, a feature which proved invaluable in rain and wind.
My only wish is that the jacket had a chest pocket, but for the price + discounts at STP, this jacket has been worth every penny. I just bought a men's version for my husband (which incidentally DOES have a chest pocket), and it's nice having the peace of mind that it will be perfect for our next rainy trip.
