one, perhaps, fatal shortcoming

I bought the Optima as a wind/rain jacket for fly fishing and had the opportunity to put it somewhat to the test on the Spring River, AR on a cold (20-30's) blustery morning last week. It was great at shedding wind or water and very comfortable as my outer layer. When the day finally heated up after lunch, the pit zips came in handy. However, I found one fatal flaw: the hand pockets filled up with water and there doesn't appear to be any way to drain them. I'm really surprised that Marmot did not forward-think on this one. Just a small reinforced gap in the bottom seam of each pocket could have made this a perfect jacket!
