I am a size 10 and 5' 9.5" tall. I ordered these Gore-Tex trousers in size L, and they fit perfect, just long enough too. Tested them today over my jeans on a 45 minute dog walk in blustery heavy rain. Arrived home perfectly dry. Very pleased with them.

I do own quite a few Gore-Tex jackets too,... Read More

    • No lining - but they are quite thick for waterproof pants. I wear another layer underneath for warmth.

    • No lining just a shell. I've worn them for cross-country skiing. I love them because I put them over thick leggings to keep me dry & warm.

    • I do not know as I am not familiar with the pants you're asking about comparing these pants type. They are heavier than my marmot minimalist jacket. That move equally well – no stiffness. I love the way they fit, very flattering yet slide easily over another pair of pants or shorts

    • Yes there are side pockets. They have waterproof zipper closures. I have to say, these are really nice pants! Unless you require full side zips, I don't think you can go wrong with these.

  • “Is it a full zip pants???”
Asked by KEVIN from HONG KONG on 5/15/2014 9:11:10 PM
    • This item does not have a full zip.
Answered on 5/16/2014 10:10:51 AM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • No Kevin, not full zip. I thought they were when I ordered them because the side view picture in the catalog on line is of some other model. I alerted them that the side picture was wrong but don't think they agreed. The front and back pictures are accurate. I have to say that even though I had full intention to return them because I wanted full zip, I kept them and decided that I would just remove my boots to put them on and take them off. They were so very comfortable I changed my mind. The full zips I was also looking at were crinkly and noisy. These are soft and quiet. The zip goes to about the knee but not enough of an opening for hiking boots. Sneakers maybe. These are really nice pants and I highly recommend them if you can function without full zips. Hope that helps.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
