On Precip #2 - Love Them

I just ordered my second Marmot Precip (and one for my girlfriend) today. I got my original Precip in college in 2003. It's seen a lot of wear since then in almost all weather conditions. It's a good Spring to Fall jacket. It's not meant to be warm. It blocks the wind and the rain well. They can get a little steamy in the Summer, but I think you will find this to be the same among all of these type of jackets.I ordered another one for 2 reasons:One: the price! I was getting one for my girlfriend for Christmas and me buying myself one netted an extra 25% discount off the total. I paid [$] per jacket. That's about half of what my first one cost me!Two: the waterproofing has finally worn out. It took 7 years for me to finally see the jacket absorb some water. This is only the case on the lower part of the sleeves (near my hands). For a jacket that was used and abused as much as mine, especially at this price point, that is impressive. This jacket is worth [$]. At [$], it's a steal. To anyone looking for a waterproof windbreaker, skip North Face and go with this Marmot. You will not be disappointed.
