1.0 out of 5 stars. zipper broken, hardly wornReviewed by Kelly from PA on Sunday, August 1, 2021I thought buying a Marmot jacket would mean years of utility. First of all, it fit a little on the small side. The Pre-Cip barrier was not as good as Gore Tex, but okay. But I hardly wore it and less than two years later the zipper broke. Mostly the zipper is metal but the end nub (where the zipper hooks up at the bottom) cracked and it isn't something easily repairable.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great price for this great jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tech Girl from Idaho on Friday, July 17, 2020I have almost this exact same jacket with the Cabela's branding on it. I loved it, but the seam tape all started coming up and tearing so it was time for a new one. I wasn't excited about paying over $100 for a replacement so I was thrilled when this one came up on sale on the Sierra site. It is perfect! As I said, it is nearly identical to the one I have, which has given me several years of near-daily use from late winter through late fall. I expect the same life expectancy from this jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Maria from PA on Tuesday, December 24, 2019Very lightweight, packable, pit zips, inside and outside pockets, hood will fold up into collar, when not in use. Trim fit, but room for layers, if necessary. Bottom cinch cord to keep weather out. Fits nice.

4.0 out of 5 stars. True to sizeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jennifer from Atlanta, GA on Friday, November 8, 2019I am a consistent size 6 and typically wear a size small in tops, but after reading so many reviews that said this jacket ran small I ordered a medium. I ended up having to exchange for a small. I am 5’6”, 130 lbs. I agree with other reviews about the pockets being placed too high, but not a deal breaker and overall am pleased with the jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. cute and functionalVerified Buyer Reviewed by ann from Missouri on Monday, October 7, 2019Used this on a very rainy backpacking trip worked wonders. It is just a shell but it slipped over my down jachet and hoodie with no problem. I ordered a medium and it fir perfectly. I'm 5'8" with a slender muscular build. The jacket is super lightweight and extremely packable, just what i need in the back woods.

4.0 out of 5 stars. A bit smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by tfromor from Oregon on Friday, October 4, 2019My daughter is overall pleased with this jacket though it does not have room for a sweatshirt under her usual small. That makes it not useful for fall. Daughter thinks she will appreciate the pit zips in summer. She likes the light green (celtic?) color.

5.0 out of 5 stars. a good product to haveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Denise Z from Idaho on Tuesday, September 24, 2019I had owned one of these Marmot PreCip jackets for YEARS - finally the seams were really showing their wear - had used on many backpack and wilderness canoe trips as well as rainy day hikes. Always reliable, packs easily and comfortable. My OLD one had a different cut (it was more generous, pockets higher on front) but I like my new one - more streamlined and a nicer appearance (I don't do the backpack or canoe trips anymore -I am too old and worn out - but still hiking and easy day kayaking.) Recommend it!
