Good rain hat

The m/l fits me perfectly. I haven't used the hat yet, but I think that it will be perfect for the Bay Area winter rains. I think it would be too hot to use as a sun hat, especially in black. SLP's price is a real bargain.

  • Great coverage

Love this hat. Haven’t tested the waterproof claim yet but the material does repel flicks of water drops well. Am taking it on a trip soon where much rainy weather is typical. The style is cute and coverage very good. It’s a tiny bit too big but I have a small head and finding a hat that fits is hard. I’m pleased with this purchase.

I have a small head but had to go with the M/L. Love the brim all around my head. Have given it a test run in the rain and my glasses did not accumulate water drops. Yea!

Another addition to my hat collection for hiking. This hat is true to size and love the quality of the material. Very light and the brim is well designed to provide just the right sun protection.

  • Nice rain hat

Matches my Marmot PreCip waterproof rain jacket that I got at sister store TJMaxx. Bought the M/L size hat, which accommodates head when I wear a knit cap or knit headband.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
