I was looking for waterproof pants for bicycling and hiking in the rain, and these were not the right pants for me. I could deal with the noisy fabric, but the cut in the waist and belly area was oversized to the point of feeling like clown pants. The bagginess of the waist could be covered with a long jacket, and may be a preferred comfort fit for some, however I sent mine back. I ended up keeping the Mountain Hardware Epic Dry.Q Core Pants, which have a more tailored fit, quieter fabric, and are better for cycling and hiking.
