As good as any NeoShell jacket can get. Nicer than my other NeoShell jacket. Many pockets strategically placed. Marmot's Angel Wing really works in that the jacket doesn't rise when lifting the arms. Sizing/fit is good. Inside is some microfleece that makes the jacket soft to the skin and really comfortable. The hood is a little on the smaller side. Breathes well. Color scheme is nice. Zipping/unzipping the front main zipper takes some effort but I hope this improves over time.
  • Fits small, fine jacket

Bought this for skiing. Marmot makes great jackets, I like the build quality, the pocket placement, the pocket sizes (i.e. phone compatible, deep for gloves), comfortable feeling and color. The color of Blue and Dark Blue color is very sharp. But this one is very small compared to what I'm used to. I'm 6'1" 170 athletic fit and usually medium is what I need. This jacket way small compared to other mediums from other companies I've used especially if you want to layer. It's conceivable I would have to size up to XL since I would want to layer. At a minimum one size.

It's also restrictive when I put the helmet on. Range of motion is very limited which I'm assuming is also due to the jacket size.

The build quality is great overall, though, just too small. I may try to exchange for a large, but going to try a couple other recent awesome STP sale jackets before I try this one again.
  • Love this jacket

Excellent fabric, construction, fit and style. Cannot say enough good things about this product. Can't speak to durability yet but am expecting good performance.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
