ehh...they're OK...

Purchased for primarily northern clime, ski, bike, hike use. Also hoped to use for travel.

Typically wear a 33x35 pant. Bought the Medium/Regular Marmot Tarn figuring it may be a bit short.

Found the fit in waist and length to be accurate; i.e. waist OK, legs a bit short on me.

I'm a thin guy and still found the thighs and butt to fit more snugly than I would want in a travel/about town pant. Would be OK in the backcountry. They kinda' felt designed for a thin guy with a gut...

All pockets had zippers, but were pretty shallow. Strange design to place 3 pockets on the right side(thigh, hand, back) and only one on the left (hand).

Construction and material seemed good. Belt loops were welcome. Bungie and cordlock on bottom hems seemed unnecessary, but may be appreciated by some. Material was comfortable and unbinding.
Leg zippers were gusseted with same material; making use over ski boots less conspicuous.
  • Best Uses: Backcountry, Easy Fit Under Shell Pant
  • Cons: Poor Pocket Placement, Shallow pockets, Tight Butt, Tight thighs
  • Inseam: Feels true to length
  • Pros: BELT LOOPS, Comfortable, Vertical Stretch Material
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Was this a gift?: No
