Very soft material, easily stowed in zip pocket. Great jacket for Florida beach walks.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trish from The Woodlands, TX on Tuesday, April 11, 2017This is the best design - for my use - that I have seen. And I searched all the major hiking, cycling and running brands. Super light, simple construction, 1 pocket for sunglasses/energy bar/stuff or to stash the jacket into, comfortable cuffs, good cut, attractive, and of high importance a longer and long enough back. I walk (8 - 10 miles each outing) and cycle (50+ miles each outing) and really use this jacket to keep the chill off as I get started. I have 4 of these jackets: 1 dedicated to cycling, 1 in a small backpack for walking, and 1 in my daily bag/purse to withstand chilly grocery stores or restaurants. Plus the 4th as backup in case these disappear off the market. These are keepers. My oldest one is over a year old and shows no wear after regular use.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kelly from Michigan on Thursday, March 23, 2017Very lightweight jacket-awesome to layer over your clothes on those chilly morning runs. I've worn it several times in 20-30 degree weather over just a quarter zip running top-kept me nice and dry. I got the green and yellow-it's pretty bright....my husband thinks I look like an Easter egg....I don't care... I Love it!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KJ from Chicago, IL on Friday, February 24, 2017I love this jacket. It is super light weight - so perfect to carry around in case the weather changes. I ordered a size up from my normal size which will allow me to layer it over a fleece. I thought it ran just a bit small/short. I am 5'6" 140 lbs and the large worked for me. It is roomy, so if you want a more fitted jacket, order you typical size.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dashley from California on Friday, January 27, 2017I LOVE this jacket for my long cold runs. It keeps me warm without making me too hot, I can keep it on during my whole run. Also, on my first run in it, I was stuck in an absolute DOWNPOUR for about 3 miles, My shirt underneath did not get wet at ALL. Highly recommend this jacket!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Emilie from Ohio on Tuesday, January 24, 2017Really great light-weight wind/rain jacket. I appreciate the pocket in the back - works for carrying something small while running and then the jacket can be folded into the zippered pocket when you're done using it. I would recommend sizing up, as others have suggested. I got a medium and for reference am 5'4" 140 lbs. A large would have been better, but I'm keeping the medium because of how functional this jacket is. I have still been able to wear it with at least 2-3 layers for cooler days.

No, there is not a hood on this jacket.
I believe this is the super light weight jacket I purchased a few years ago. There is no hood.
There is no hood in the jacket not described as a hoodie. Marmot makes a hooded version of this jacket also. On that the hood does not roll up into the collar - it is always exposed. I have both versions of this jacket and love them. They run a bit small - especially in the length. If you think you may want to layer over a bulkier fleece, I'd recommend buying a size up. I am 5'6" around 140 lbs and I have the Large. I exchanged for the Med - it fit, but I could not have layered much under it and it was a bit shorter that I like. The Large on me is a relaxed fit.
This item does not have a hood in the collar.
This jacket has one zippered pocket in back above the right hip that sits diagonally.
“How light and thin is this jacket? I need something to wear in an open top Jeep during summer, but not a jacket that will make me sweat. Something windproof and very very light. Will this work? Is it breathable? And ultra light?”
In my opinion, this is a very light weight jacket.
