Verified Buyer Reviewed by JG from Fargo, coldest place in the lower 48. on Saturday, February 13, 2016Just spent three days breaking this in at Whitefish. Held up well in a light wind, nothing gets in, and the heat didn't get out. The second day there was a light rain almost all day. Marmot kept me dry, I was impressed considering the coat has insulation, I thought it would for sure get damp at some point. It didn't. The taped seams kept me dry as bone. I haven't had a hand to run it on a really cold day, but layered up I'm sure it will work great. Honestly, right now I think I just found the last ski jacket I'll ever need.
Reviewed by jdp184 from California on Saturday, January 23, 2016Not a ton of features on this jacket but it is warm and waterproof for those cold wet days. I have always liked the fit of Marmot being 5'11" 190lbs with broad shoulders. This jacket is on the roomier side but don't mind when I am skiing. Had it up in Canada at -10F/-20F w/wind and was plenty warm with a layer under it. I would wait for a solid discount or sale on this one. The outer material is nothing special and might have some durability issues. Lightweight, warm, and great looking colors!
Reviewed by BTH5 from New York on Wednesday, September 2, 2015Some other jackets in this price point include pit zips and wrist gators, this does not, but I settled on it because it has a roomy hood that fits my POC helmet. I am 6'0, 185lbs and the Large is roomy, but I think the Medium would be too small. I previously had a Marmot Wildcat shell and like the brand.

“Why is the waterproof rating listed as 20,000mm?
It looks like this uses the non-strata version of the MemBrain fabric, which is rated at 10k. Most sites, including Marmot's, list the waterproof rating of this jacket at 10k.”
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Yes, this is 10,000mm. We have sent this for correction.
It is insulated... Not just a shell. The trade off is no pit zips.
