Super warm!

I was thrilled to find this longer A-line style in a warm jacket for less than the high $300-$400 price range. I have only had a chance to test it in 30 - 35 degree windy conditions so far and I stayed warm without issue. The black absorbs the heat from the sun and the exterior offers excellent wi... • Great coat!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Juma9191 from NH on Monday, November 5, 2018
I am 5’2” and 120 lbs; bust is 34D. The coat was perfect everywhere except the bust. It fit nicely, but let no room to layer a vest or heavy sweater. This is a must for NH weather. I exchanged it for a medium and decided that the extra 1.2” in length was worth the extra room in the chest. I am delighted with the coat as it is a perfect “go-to” coat when it isn’t below zero!
  • Warm but light

True to fit. Warm coat. I have not had it long, but I like it. It is stylish and comfortable.
  • Warm and lightweight

This is a great jacket for traveling, because it is light and packable, but it is also very warm. I wore it on an ice hike around a lake island in 5 degree temps and never got cold. The pockets are lame (small and only 2), but the style is flattering. I am 5’2”, 112 lbs and the small fit comfortably. I probably could have had an XS, but I have broader shoulders, so with layers under the coat, it might have made it more constricting..

I actually bought this exact same parka 2 years ago in a different color. I like it so much and it's so practical that I bought a second one this year in silver

Fit was as to be expected. Did not like the sheen of the material.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
