5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Lightweight Gloves!

I picked up my first pair of gloves integrated with Pittards Leather in 2015 and they are still going strong into the 2017 season and I expect they will last several more seasons with no problem.

The leather Pittards uses is simply some of the softest, most durable leather I have ever had.

These Marmot XT gloves are well made, using very high-quality materials, and stitching and I can't wait to ride down a few thousand feet wearing them!

I adore the Marmot Basic Work Glove and go through at least one pair every season, always wear holes in just the left-hand fingertips, but I literally fell, buck, cut and split ten+ cords of wood per season wearing them.

While I only just got these XT's they seem to be about as warm as their cousins the Marmot Basic Work Glove which keep me comfortable down to about 25 degrees if I have my heart rate up and consistently moving. I would not wear these for lighter activities or long downhill descents in temps lower than 35 but my hands get cold easily!

I have thick hands with average length fingers and usually wear a large in gloves but I see these gloves more like running, or climbing shoes where a tight fit is really important and the mediums are snug on me but with the Pittards leather they conformed to the shape of my hand in just a few hours of wear so they work a size down for me.

Great find for the price! Marmot and Pittards is a combo you can not go wrong with!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice winter glove

I looked all over to find a pair of light winter waterproof gloves and finally found these.I use them to play with the dogs in the snow and they work great. They are warm (if you are active), resist water and have a great grip.

So far so good. I’ve worn them a few times and they are working out well. My plan is to use them for skate skiing (used them once already), in the skin track (I know they will shine here) and for around town (also working out great). True to size.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
