Don't be put off by the "Jr" part of Yukon Jr. For slim fit guys like me, this parka is a SCREAMING deal.

When buying jackets, I normally get a men's medium to get sleeves that are long enough. I bought a Yukon Jr. in size XL and the fit is almost perfect.

Torso / chest is fine. Fit is okay, ... Read More

  • “I just moved to New York and need a winter jacket/coat.. Is this jacket good for the winter? Also I'm 5'6 about a buck weight wise.. Would a medium be okay ”
Asked by Brittiany from Big Apple on 10/17/2015 2:12:00 PM
    • These are fantastic for winter, very warm! I would think you need an XL since these are junior sizes. I just bought a XXL for my son who is 5'9', 120 lbs. It fits him fine. Remember these are junior sizes, so you need much larger sizes.

  • “What does 650 fill powder mean?”
Asked by Mitchhiker from Maine on 3/13/2014 8:00:09 AM
    • Fill Power is the number of cubic inches one ounce of down insulation occupies; also, a measurement of the down’s loft (fluffiness). The higher the fill power, the warmer it is. Choose the type of fill and use the fill power as a guideline to how warm or lofty you like your bedding. Lightweight warmth has a 500-550 fill power. 550-600 fill power offers medium warmth and 600+ fill power is very warm.

    • Not fill powder, but fill power. A measure of insulation restoration after compression, 650 is a good indicator, then insulation is tight and warm

  • “this parka is for young men but in the product page, the sizing is for 'men', i think.

and also the review written by a slim guy tells that this parka sizing XL fits to "Medium men size (chest 39-41)".

these things confuse me, so i hope the sizing matter be corrected. thank you.”

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
