The straps wrap around my ankles nicely. They are a little long, but there are many holes for adjustability. I wear a 7 1/2 N shoe, & took a risk ordering a 7. The leather just hugs my toes & heels, so fit is fine. I think I'll wear these a lot because they make a stylish statement.
