Probably be good for working around the house. Pockets too short, and needs zippers on all five pockets, only has zippers on two. You can see outline of what is in pockets. Fairly comfortable, but seem to be very warm, not what I look for in a pair of shorts.

Usually, they are soft but these aren't so much. I hope they soften up when washed and he still likes them. The style looks good.
